City Nerds privacy policy

The short version

City Nerds is a free, unofficial fan stats app made by the hosts of the STL City SHOWDOWN podcast. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics or tracking SDKs, and it doesn't collect your name, email, contacts, location, photos or any other personal information.

What the app sends

To show scores and stats, the app asks our data server (hosted on Cloudflare) for public match data. Like any web request, this reveals your device's IP address and basic request details (such as the app version and time) to Cloudflare, which may keep short-lived technical logs for security and reliability. We don't use these logs to identify you, build profiles or sell anything.

The app checks for app updates through Expo's update service (EAS Update). That check sends a random, app-generated identifier and technical details such as the app and platform version so the right update can be delivered. It is not linked to you.

What stays on your phone

The app saves recent data on your device so screens load quickly and work offline. This cache never leaves your phone and is deleted when you clear the app's storage or uninstall it.

Links to other sites

Links to podcasts, YouTube and other websites open outside the app. Those services have their own privacy policies.

Children

The app isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Sharing and selling

We don't sell, rent or share personal information, because we don't collect it.
